Background: Today we have a bottle from the Independent Bottler Scotch Universe that has a space theme to their names. Similar to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, there is a method to their naming and can be decoded to determine information on the whisky. This one was distilled at the highland distillery of Glenmorangie and was aged for 13 years in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. Let’s see how it tastes

Taste – Thick and syrupy, caramel, hersey’s chocolate syrup, creamy malt
Finish – Cinnamon, pepper, dried fruit, drying nuttiness, complex but balanced

Would I buy a bottle? Yes
Thoughts: Oh boy, was this a treat. Fruit, nuts, and chocolate for days like a bowl of trail mix. This was my first time getting “chocolate syrup” but there was no mistaking that. A bit more dessert leaning but highly enjoyable.
