Background: Here we have a bottling from Maguey Melate. This is distilled by Noe Garcia Olivera from 6 year old Coyote maguey. The was shredded and distilled in a clay pot still. Let’s see how it tastes.

Nose – Stings a little, agave, ashy, flintstones vitamins
Taste – Sweet cream, neutral citrus fruit
Finish – Ashy, peppery, tart, club soda

Would I buy a bottle? Yes

Thoughts: Part of the interesting thing about trying a new spirit, is trying to break it down and calibrate your brain.  I don’t think I am quite there with mezcal, as I really liked this, but my notes seem limited and I really can’t articulate why I like it.  But I do.  It’s good.
