Nose – Grilled pineapple, candied lemon, sweet tarts, sourdough, coffee beans, a bit sour/tart, bbq meat
Taste – Sweet and thick – honey, brown sugar, pineapple juice, candied lemon peel
Finish – Hit of fruit like honey-melon, then lots of tart citrus, smoke and a hint of sulfur at the very end
Score: 6
Would I buy a bottle? Probably not
Thoughts: Solid and smoky, it has some nice fruit flavors behind it but nothing super above and beyond. Just a solid, Islay single malt and who is ever upset with that?
