Description: NULU Single Barrel Rye: r/Bourbon “Top Shelf”

Background: 30 for 30: Day 6. NULU is a bottler located in the NULU area of Louisville. Bottling MGP whiskey, they’ve gotten notoriety from a decent number of finishes like toasted oak and honey barrels. This rye though is not finished. It was aged for 7 years. This apparently came from the special barrels that the r/bourbon members were able to talk the workers into trying.

Would I buy a bottle? $115 is pricey, but there’s no regret here
Thoughts: This really is a nice rye. Lots of depth. It’s that buttery note and texture that really separates it for me. NULU’s pricing can be a bit erratic, but this one i think is fitting. No regrets here on paying that price.
