Nose – Very rich oak, chocolate, cherry, raspberry jam, slight vitamin note
Taste – Super fruity: strawberry, cherry, orange. Creamy and thick with vanilla, like a milkshake
Finish – Strong oak structure, tobacco, cherry, marshmallow
Score: 8
Would I buy a bottle? Yes
Thoughts: It appears that 15 years are the sweet spot for these Dickel barrels for me. While Episode 23 was chocolate and nuts, this was sweet and fruity. Completely different experience but with the same outcome. Might need to grab a bottle of one of these older releases because they seem to be able to pick some good ones. (Spoiler: I ended up buying a bottle of Episode 032)
