Thoughts: I have a whole lineup of Ultimate Whisky Company bottlings as I love that they have a wide range of cask strength, unadulterated, and affordable offerings from not only big name distilleries but also smaller ones I’ve never tried.  The Fettercairn certainly shows the malty spirit and it steps forward more than the barrel influence, though a bit of sweetness comes in.  I think it needed a bit more though to balance the bitter and sour malt that was just too much for me, especially on the finish.
