Background: Today we have a single barrel selection of Elijah Craig, This was selected by Cedar Hills Liquor in Beaverton, OR. I do not know the age on this, just that it is Serial No. 5284232. This bottled was gifted to me from a friend during a secret santa exchange.

Nose – Some bright fruit: cherries, pear, caramel, black pepper, fresh baked buttery pastry
Taste – Caramel, apple, lots of vanilla. Little bit of honey and floral notes. Sweet but light and a bit thin.
Finish – Oak on the finish is really nice and well structured. Nice and toasty with a bit of leather, little bit of prickle from black pepper and cinnamon, toffee, tiny bit of sweet baked apples comes through too

Would I buy a bottle? Yes
Thoughts: This is a really nice single barrel of EC. The nose was nice, and while the taste was a bit standard, the finish is where it really shined. Hard to beat this for $30.
