Selection – N/A

ABV – 64.8%

Nose – Maple, oak, dried cranberries, freshly baked bread
Taste – Dark cherry, bran flakes with raisins, barley sugar

Score: 6
Would I buy a bottle? Yes

Thoughts: This was pretty much everything you could want from a decent aged sherried malt.  Dark and fruity but balanced with the malt.  The finish is where it really shines and lingers and dances between sweet and rich oak.  The high ABV is certainly there and punches you, but it isn’t overwhelming.  Quite an enjoyable drink.
