Nose – Warm oak, fudge, dark cherry, sweet vanilla, blackberry, fruity tobacco.  The oak on this is just heavenly
Taste – Oak, chocolate, dates, blackberries, creamy coffee,  there’s a slight sweetness that helps balance the oak/chocolate really well.  Nice buttery texture.
Finish – More oak and chocolate, dark fruits, leather.  Long and warming with the oak.  Not hot or spicy, just very pleasant

Score: 8
Would I buy a bottle? Yes

Thoughts: This is everything you want in a well aged brandy.  Super oaky but in a balanced way.  Not bitter but not too sweet.  It’s a pour that you can spend all night with and never get sick of.  For around $150, it’s a solid value and coming from such a huge cask, there’s a good amount of it still floating around to be able to grab a bottle for yourself.
